This is definitely a diagonal that needs NO introduction whatsoever. It is in a class of its own.

This is a 2010 Astro-Physics Maxbright. It will come with the its original 2-inch to 1.25-inch adapter, both original setscrews, and both dust caps. Remember BOTH the adapter and the diagonal use a brass compression ring, so no worring ever about marring your Naglers, Research Grades, Mega Vistas, or SXWs.

The diagonal is in great overall cosmetics, not quite excellent. It is indeed shiny on the barrels and with a clean, black morion sheen on the triangle body, but you will find some mild dings and abrasions here and there. There is a score on the focuser insert barrel from a Celestron CR-150 visual back setscrew. You won't see any of it when this diagonal is nestled into the focuser, so not too big a deal. No sunlight fading at all and no dents or gashes. Just mild abrasions.
To be noted, (1) of the (4) allen screws on the underside, which hold the mirror platform to the diagonal body, is missing. I'm almost certain it is a #6-32. You will need to go to a specialty hardware store to get one in the correct length and one that will fit in the recess. Not ultra difficult and I doubt more than $1.50 for a screw; it will be finding the store (like Tacoma Screw or Fastenal) that has them. Home Depot will not be your savior.

The compression rings in both the diagonal and adapter are perfect. The setscrews that operate them are perfect and minty clean.

The 1.25-inch adapter is in very excellent condition with a deep, black gloss look and no fading.

The mirror is in solid excellent condition with light dust as it sits and needs NO cleaning, I think, for a very long time. If it was cleaned, I would put it in "very excellent". But honestly, resist cleaning until it becomes visually evident that dust has affected your view. Cleaning optics all the time is not wise practice; keeping those optics properly stored when not in use IS the best practice.

No reserve on this 1 pound 5 ounce chunk of American master craftsmanship. So if you have a well-behaved doublet fluorite refractor in your life, or perhaps a strongly-deserving schmidt-cat that desires maximum light transmission at the diagonal, this is the ticket!

All nations welcome to bid.
