This I acquired in a find 4 years ago and have kept it in my hutch, scratching the top o' my head till I realized what it is for.

Well guess what? I have a hole in the top of my head now and still don't know what this could be for. So now it is here for you to discover. If anything, it is quite a lovely piece of glass.

The design baffles me; a 3-sided pyramid on a ROUND base. The 3-sides of the pyramid + the round base = 4 facets.

The apex of the pyramid is at the geometric center. BUT the 3 sides of the pyramid ARE NOT triangular to the base. They are tirangulated UNTIL about 2/3rds to the base, then they curve as a bowl.

So this design does not seem to disperse light and cannot image correct. I simply cannot figure out the purpose of the design.

Width at base:  2.50-inches
Height:  1.95-inches
Total facets:  4
Weight:  6.3 ounces

Conditions are excellent all around. No cracks, chips, bad scratches, no heavy pitting. It will not require any cleaning.

All nations welcome to bid.
