Questar is the Porsche of telescopes. I have for auction a NEW unopened 2024 Questar 3.5 Duplex. This is reported by Questar to be the FINAL Duplex they will produce. It is in the original box unopened, and will be sold that way.

Box Contents:
Questar 3.5 Duplex with LE optics, broad band coatings. 10313
Custom leather case 19179s
Power guide three 194165
ND filter (neutral density filter Moon) 19235nd6
24 and 16mm Questar Brandon eyepieces
Off axis Questar glass solar filter
Questar Receipt

According to Jim P at Questar this is the last duplex to ever be produced. Here is a chance to own a rare piece of history. Sadly, the last one. The list price on this is $8,050.00  I would prefer local pickup in SE NH, shipping insured will be extra.

LE Glass

Low expansion glass is all about the extreme low thermal expansion properties .Low expansion materials offer lower levels of inclusions, striae and overall internal stress, as well as excellent chemical stability.

These qualities enable low expansion glass to be an optimal material choice for a wide variety of high precision applications, including everything from mirror blanks for large astronomical telescopes and space satellites to wafers used in lithography.

I am starting the bids a $7,500.00 with a reasonable reserve.
