Hello All,

I have a pair of Garrett Optical 28x110 binoculars to pass along. I bought them 4-5 years ago, as I began to investigate bino-viewing and was trying to see if binoculars could save me the expense of investing in several eyepiece pairs. I came to the conclusion that fixed magnification 100-110mm non-APO binoculars weren’t any sort of substitute for an excellent 100-120mm APO scope with a good bino-viewer and good ep’s. Of course, the binoculars, which retailed originally  for around $650, were not in the same price range as a good 4”APO with a good bino-viewer and eyepiece pairs!

The glass on these is in excellent shape, as is the body. The manufacturer’s case provides excellent protection.

They weigh in at 15 lb  8oz, on my  kitchen scale, and have a mounting dovetail plate that’s 2 7/8” wide (4” long).

I’d like to try local L.A. area sales first – anyone willing to meet me in the Santa Clarita area. I’m asking $299 via Paypal ($300 in cash would work). If a buyer is willing to cover the additional cost of shipping within CONUS (or beyond), I’m game to go along. The case weighs 8lb, and some cardboard surrounding it would take the shipping weight to about 26 lbs. Dimensions would be about 25“ x 15” x 10”.

For local buyers, I have a Milleneium Uni parallelogram mount that I’ll list in the next day or two. It’s not fully operational at this time, as the central fitting with 7/16” threads is stripped out. It does a great job (30lb capacity, when fully functional) with the 16 lb Garrett’s… just needs to be re-tooled to a ½” threaded rod setup, I believe, or a new fitting tooled to the original 7/16” thread.

If You tell me what's going  on in the back-side image of the small currency note, I'll include the piece of paper and the two little coins. Thanks for looking!
