AKA Nikon 10X70 IF SP WP Astrolux… Users in good shape optically and mechanically. As of last night collimation is spot on. Cemented doublet design, when looking through the objectives in bright light some fine scratches (?) and a few pinhead sized spots are apparent on the inner lenses. None of this appears to affect the views, which are amazing. Sharp stars and a completely flat field all the way across, no edge softening that I can detect - even better than my Fujinon FMT's. Daylight chimney test does show some extremely minor CA but you have to be looking for it. Really great dedicated hand held astronomy binocular. One minor issue with these are the included winged eyecups, which inconveniently turn with the individually focusing eyepieces. Viewing is fine without them but standard round rubber eyecups would be a good addition. And no dedicated tripod attachment point - Nikon apparently sells a hinge grabber of some type for this purpose, but I've never looked into it. (If I'm actually setting something up it's a telescope Posted Image)
IM2200 case has some miles but works great, no issues. I'll include the Velcro dividers that the previous owner included if the end user would like to re-purpose the case.

$395 for the binoculars with eyecups and objective caps along with the case. I'll cover any fees. I'd prefer a local buyer to look these over first and avoid shipping, but I'm ready and willing to ship at the buyer's direction and expense. (As a shipper I've had some bad luck, so let's discuss.)

Thanks for reading!
