I am selling my Mark IV Baader Zeiss Binocular Viewer. This binoviewer were originally developed by Carl Zeiss Jena and further advanced by Baader Planetarium. They have 28mm clear aperature as well supberb workmanship. If you check the forums, you will find that these binoviewers are ranked higher than TV, denk, etc. Also, if you check out the forums on other websites you will see that Roland is quoted as preferring these over the never Mark Vs with the newer coatings (to note, the newer Mark V is $1,755 and the difference is, besides the newer coatings, that the EP holder is click lock and there is a helical diopter adjustment...but I have fund like many that these are unnecessary since the machining of the Mark IVs is so superb there is no misalignment of the EP in the holder).

Unit is cosmetically in great shape, with just one or two small paint nicks visible. Optics are outstanding and have never been touched.

Unit comes with the Baader Prism Diagonal and the T-2 Bayonet System, as well as THREE Glaspath Correctors (1.3, 1.7, 2.6) which are all in great shape. Two of them come with plastic cases and one does not. From mfr on the Glasspaths "The Glasspath Compensating Optical Element eliminates the slight color error and spherical aberration that a prism beam splitter naturally introduces into the light path of all binocular viewers. It allows you to enjoy wide-field, low-power views of deep-sky objects, as well as high powers. This element (also known as a Glasspath Compensator) was designed by Roland Christen of Astro-Physics and is essential for telescopes with fast focal ratios. Baader Planetarium was the first to introduce this feature for the binocular viewer."

Unit also comes with a very ugly but highly functional foam box. Paypal fees and shipping fees are included in the CONUS.

I will be sad to see this go, as it took me many years to get one and all three glasspaths...but I need to fund another purchase.
