Excellent condition. One of the last digital cameras to use AA batteries (takes 2).  One of the last compact cameras to use a CCD rather than CMOS sensor, too.

It's under a Square Trade warranty through January 3, 2021.  Transferable to new owner.  No deductibles; covers mechanical and electrical defects and failures.

12 megapixels.  12x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilization. 3” LCD, with Live View showing impact of exposure and setting changes on the display (a great feature!).  Has fully manual mode, with up to 15-second exposure at 1600 ISO.  (Many modern digicams restrict the ISO when taking long exposures, rendering them ineffective for night sky photography.)  Good for wide field constellation photos.  (See photo I took of Orion over the treetops from a semi-light polluted suburban sky.   As with other astronomy photos, you may have to turn up the brightness on your monitor to see the stars.)

Has full set of modes: Program, Time Value, Aperture, Manual, Scene, Video, Portrait, Landscape, etc.  Settings include exposure compensation, white balance control, My Colors, flash adjustments, etc.

As noted, the display screen shows exposure changes in real time, meaning that you can see the effects of your settings.

Pop-up flash illuminates well.  Good image quality.  Note:  The camera’s LCD resolution is lower than that of recent cameras and it's not as speedy between photos, but it still works well.

Uses Canon’s superb, easy-to-use camera interface.

Good camera for novices wanting to learn photography or someone wanting to hone their skills --  that's because there's both an automatic mode and a host of different modes and settings to grow into.  Good for veterans wanting an easy-to-use, take anywhere camera or for use outdoors in the field.

Check out customer reviews on Amazon (e.g., by John Sturgeon; he's even captured auroras with it) and the professional review at Steve’s Digicams to learn more about the camera.

Comes with original box and all accessories, including wrist strap, USB cable, AV cable, CD, unopened instruction booklets (multiple languages) (see photos).  With 512mb SD card and 2 pairs of AAs.  Can use rechargeable AAs, too (smarter way to go in the long run).

Non-smoking household.

PayPal or U.S. Post Office money order.  Price:  $50, including priority shipping and insurance.
