Very rare Takahashi TG100 or Teegul-100 spotting scope – these were only sold in Japan and very few made it to the US. The aperture is 100mm, scope f/7.7 (fl = 770mm). The Teegul 100 is a Cassegrain type reflector. This is a cassigrain with a correcting lens (in the rear baffle) that also inverts the image for a correct straight through view. The image circle is 20mm, tube length 430mm, O.D.120mm, weight 1.3kg. The scope is mounted on Teegul altazimuth mount with light weight tripod. A versatile scope good for terrestrial viewing & astronomical stargazing.

The tripod/head is superb and has slow motion controls in both axes - could be used for other scopes with 120mm OD tube. It accepts .965 eyepieces and has the typical Takahashi clamping device. The tripod extends from 22“ to 54“.

This is a great showpiece, collectible, a very nice terrestrial spotter and o.k. for casual astronomy.

Includes the scope, mount, cap, the finder, and two nice EPs (Vixen Ortho 9mm and Kyoei 15mm MCR). The 15mm has a roughly 60 degree FOV. Also includes a porro 0.965 diagonal that can be used for astronomical stargazing.

I took this recently to Joshua Tree on a new moon and it was great and very versatile.

Optics are in excellent condition. There are a few scuffs on the OTA, but otherwise the scope and mount is in excellent shape.
