Large cast aluminum rear cell for 17-20 inch telescopes. The pattern was copied from the rear cell on the original Celestron SCT's. This was cast over 25 years ago in 319 and weighs about 37 pounds. The dimensions are 21.5 OD and 19 ID, 3.0 inches thick. Makes a good mirror cell or the rear cell on a large Cassegrain.
Requires a good lathe to machine; final weight would be around 20 pounds, 12 pounds with some extra effort to keep it light. Two were cast, and the first was used for a large Cassegrain. This was an extra. Old and aged castings in good condition are best because they are stable and more machinable.
Can be shipped but local pick up is best.
