I lean toward refractors pretty heavily. And, while I really like this scope, I think it needs a more worthy and capable hand to finish it out. It is NO slouch, and maybe I am going to regret selling it, but my better-half is not inclined to continue allowing me to use the "grab-n-go-space" which it currently occupies. So, since I would virtually have to disassemble it to store it safely and preserve the progress I have made with it, I decided to see if there are any interested parties out there.

There were some dents in the tube when I got this. I pressed them back to as flush with the rest of the tube as possible. I have not sanded and painted anything. The secondary was free from the tube, and the straps to hold it suspended in place were gone. I replaced those by following details on another CN member's thread. I cleaned up some threads, and basically just put it back together. It is missing the tangent arm.

Current condition is good. It is fun to use, but could be awesome with some further tweaking and skill. It has an original, but not THE original, objective dust cap. It came to me with a few cracks at the edges, but it works well. I will include the jury-rigged dust caps for the finder and focuser. The finder crosshairs are still there, but I think the alcohol I used to clean the finder faded them. Not a perfect set-up, has cracks or defects here and there, but a very useable and curiosity-arousing classic scope. Wish I had room for it and more.

I do not think it would be a good idea to ship this behemoth. I do NOT want to do that. I would arrange a reasonable meeting place with a buyer. Contact me with questions. Price includes Paypal fees. $185
