This is an interesting scope created by Roland Christian in the early ‘90’s featuring an air spaced ZEISS 200/3000 semi-apo objective and an Astro-Physics designed and fabricated reducer allowing the scope to operate at f11.  It has an A-P 2.7 inch focuser that is in excellent operating condition. The dew shield is detachable.  It’s a hefty scope tipping the scales at 70 pounds.  I’m selling it because I can not handle a mount that will hold this weight and do not have a place for a permanent installation.  I have not mounted the scope in about 5 years and it’s time for me to let it go. The optics are clean and in excellent condition.  The OTA is definitely in used condition with scuffs and nicks here and there.  There is also some brassing of the anodized portion of the focuser.  Mounting rings are included, but I do not have a mounting plate.  The scope performs as one would expect, giving stunning views of planets, the moon, doubles and brighter deep sky objects.

I would drive as far as 12 hours from Chattanooga, TN to deliver the scope.  Shipping would require that I build a wooden crate and ship via a freight company.  I’d split the cost of crating and shipping.  I cannot absorb PayPal fees for a sale of this size.

I’d obviously prefer to sell the scope to a buyer that has inspected the scope, though I recognize that that may not be possible.  I’m happy to answer questions to the best of my abilities and can supply many more pictures at the request of interested parties.
