I bought this classic 1996 model a couple of months ago, and to my delight found it to be optically perfect, with the minimal amount of chromatic aberration that would be expected from a premium apochromatic fluorite doublet.  I had planned to keep it for a long time, but a month later I had the opportunity to buy a 2003 model that was in perfect cosmetic as well as optical condition (i.e., looking as if it had just come out of the Takahashi factory), and I couldn't resist buying that one too. Since I have no intention to build a binoscope, I'm letting this one go.

The scope comes with a set of Parallax rings and Losmandy dovetail.  It has several cosmetic blemishes, most of which prior owners appear to have touched up over the years.  These are easily visible if you intentionally try to look for them in the daytime, but of course won't be noticeable at all in the dark.  I'm very picky about the condition of my scopes, and I didn't find these scrapes objectionable in the least, day or night.  You may have different standards of course, which is why I want to disclose them.  I tried to show them as well as possible in the images provided.

At this point, I really don't want to ship the scope, as I want a buyer to see exactly what he or she is getting.  I'll be willing to drive up to a couple of hours to meet you halfway from central North Carolina.
