SALE PENDING - thanks Jeremy!

With regret, I'm selling my excellent TEC 180FL f/7 (#008), with TEC rings, dust plug, lens cap and storage case.  I'm the second owner, having purchased the scope in new condition from a well-known AstroMarter.

Reason for selling: we've moved, and I no longer have a backyard observing location worthy of this scope; in addition, although quite portable for its aperture, given shoulder issues, it is too large for me to mount alone at remote sites.

The scope has seen only backyard use and has been stored in a climate controlled environment.  The optics are pristine and collimation is spot-on; the star test and color correction surpass all refractors I've previously owned.

Cosmetically, the OTA is excellent, except for three areas where the surface paint shows imperfections, in one case from some paint lifting upon removal of an aggressive velcro adhesive (about the size of a quarter - and in about the shape of the North American Nebula!), and two others due to the OTA contacting the mount when I was careless and slightly "stretching" the white paint  - see pictures.  Neither of these go deeper than the surface paint.  These could be repaired or, as I have done, kept out of sight on the under-side of the OTA and/or under the mounting rings.

The case shows ordinary wear on the exterior, and the interior foam is excellent.

Pier, mount, top mounting plate, finderscope assembly/base, AP 3-screw collet, and binoviewer appearing in pictures are not included in sale price.

Pick-up or meet within 250 miles of Fernandina Beach, Florida.  (I have some travel scheduled in the Southeast in the weeks ahead, which could possibly facilitate a delivery/exchange at a greater distance.)

Asking price for TEC 180 and listed accessories is $15,750.  (The current listed new price for the OTA from TEC is $19,000, with to my knowledge no production run currently scheduled.)

Thanks for looking,

Joe Jones
