I hate to even do this but I have a TEC 200FL f/8 Fluorite APO Serial # 001.
This is the very first TEC 200FL made by Yuri at TEC in 2005. These scopes have been DISCONTINUED
recently (possibly permanently). I have upgraded the scope with Parallax custom painted rings
(painted the same color as the scope), Feathertouch Finder Bracket, TEC Original Ring Set, Scope Guard
Custom made Black Case (Original $1,000 TEC Case), TEC Dovetail, Feathertouch 3.5” Rotatable Focuser made
for TEC by Feathertouch (Original). The images taken through the scope are outstanding and the optics
are top notch and very clean (except for some light dust), no sleeks or scratches and TEC original coatings
are fully intact. The scope is in Excellent condition except for a minor scratch on the TEC Lens cap
and the side of the tube (I do mean minor and barely noticeable). This is an incredible imaging scope and
of course, a great visual scope as well. One of the only reasons I am considering a TRADE/SALE is that I am
concerned that the scope barely fits in my 8-foot observatory and also that I have invested a lot of
money purchasing Astro-Physics accessories over the years. The scope has only been used in my
observatory in Arizona and never taken out to the field. The scope weighs approximately 50 lbs with
the original rings and probably 60 lbs with the extras included with the scope so a large mount is
necessary for steady viewing (an at least a 10ft observatory/roll off would be recommended).
The photos taken by me were some of the first photos I have ever taken through the telescope
as I am not an experienced Astro photographer and were taken without a flattener or other
optical train devices except an Optolong L-Enhance filter (most are unstacked and single shot).
I purchased this scope from the original buyer in April 2019.
At this time I would consider a TRADE for ONLY TWO TELESCOPES
This is a very rare scope/serial number. You would not be disappointed.
