I am contemplating selling my mint original TMB 175 f/8 scope with rings and case and flattener/reducer.

The pictures here are of the actual scope.  Take a look at the tube, no marks at all, truly mint condition.  The focuser is the stock focuser, 4+", it also comes with a second adapter which I had Ashley at PreciseParts make an adapter to attach the Riccardi 82M reducer/flattener, also included which brings the f/8 down to f/6.  The oposite end of the reducer/flattener is a female thread 54M to attach your DSLR, CCD, CMOS, etc.  The picture of the box also shows the back focus for the reducer/flattener.

The scope weighs 50 pounds.  The glass is LZOS as per their trade mark on the lens cell.

There are two different finder scope/guider scope holders shown with the rings also included so you can choose which finder/guide scope you want to use or just keep it off the scope and guide which ever way you like.

The lens cell is signed by Thomas and the paperwork is also there.  Finding one of these in this condition at this price would be a stretch but if you are interested, please let me know.  I do not want to ship this scope even with the super strong ScopeGuard case with rollers that it is in but I bet we can work something out regarding meeting, swinging by the Dallas/Fort Worth area on a trip you have, etc.

Hand selected by Thomas M. Back for a good friend of his.

This is the original style CNC tube with light grey trim, the first ones Thomas made.  Heavy tube, glass is excellent and solid roller style case.

I’m testing the waters to see if there is any interest in this mint scope, truly an observatory style refractor with an awesome .982 strehl, excellent for a 7” triplet glass.

I would meet someone instead of shipping, I’m in the DFW area.

Thanks for all the hits so far, clear skies everyone!
