I'm letting this beautiy go. Really incredible RC telescope. Will blow away most consumer-grade RC on today's market with it's ultra low expansion Astrositall mirrors, hand-figured by legenday master optician Paul Jones of Star Optics. Before the company closed it's doors these were selling for $20k, with probably over half that in the optics. Here are the highlights:

  • Hand figured Astrositall optics (on par with Zerodur) - Peak to Valley .19, RMS .035, and Strehl of .953 (test sheets attached).
  • Earlier this year I personally drove the mirrors to Paul Jones in Newnan Georgia to be inspected before having them recoated. Paul stripped the coating while I waited and gave them a clean bill of health. Then he shipped them to Terry Ostahowski to be recoated. I have not touched the mirrors since then. They have "normal" amount of dust from backyard imaging.
  • Carbon fiber tube with annodized aluminum support structure - beautiful American craftsmanship
  • Secondary focuser system
  • TCC control box to control secondary heater, focuser, primary fans, and rotator (not included). Allows for ASCOM computer control of focuser, temp system, and rotator. I used this with Voyager software without issue.
  • Fixed intrument adapter plate allowing use of A-P 2/7" extensions and accesories
  • RCOS optional hand controller for controlling focus, temp system, and rotator
  • Machined aluminum dust cap
  • 8.5 inches of various sized 2.7" extension tubes - these are well made and much thicker gauge than the set you can buy today.
  • Wooden shipping crate

The ad is for the scope, dovetails, fixed instrument adapter (FIA), extension tubes, TCC controller with data and power cable, hand controller, and machined aluminum dust cap. These items are integral to the scope system and cannot be split up. Shipping terms are negotioable. Pickup in (or within a few hundered miles) of Louisville, KY is greatly preferred. The mount is not for sale.
