So many "Not Rated" users in the classifieds

I've been seeing a lot of new "Not Rated" users posting high end equipment in the classifieds lately. I've been warned not to purchase from these folks. Seeing these high end items I would stay away from pulling the trigger until they get rated!

So Gary did you "forget" to leave feedback ratings for the ones that rated you recently?

There's are other ways to assess a seller on high $$$ items: Just Talk to him on the phone. If he readily knows obtuse things about the item and astronomy, that is a +++. Does his phone # ID when he calls you? Does his house appear on Google Maps, with his name on the Tax Roles? Now-a-days ALL that stuff is easy to access. Sometimes great deals on big items are family selling off assets of the astronomer ~RIP~ Tom, still kickin' Tom
