If we know what you are talking about we “may” be able to address the “issue”.

Our ESP is down

If you do not get that stating "makes the site unusable" is useless unless you actually state what the problem is then you are likely wasting your time being here in the 1st place James.....lol

What exactly is the "Funding member banner" doing that makes the site unusable? What hardware/software are you using to access the site, are you using full screen or a window? All pertinent info regarding what is happening.....

For more than two months, whenever I visited AstroMart, THE FUNDING BANNER covered the central third of my computer screen. During that two months, nothing similar occurred when I visited any other site. As a physicist who worked for 18 years in a National Laboratory, I know good system operators are constantly vigilant. Shame on you for blaming any user.

LOL....so one is just supposed to read the mind of the complainer about what the problem was? Automatically know what hardware/software is being used?  Shame on you for being so dense as to not understand how the lack of info makes it hard to suggest anything.....Did it not also occur to you to reveal what browser was being used that exhibited the problem and what browser resolved the issue? One would think that info would be helpful to others who may be having the same issue smile
