pictures in forums

I looked around here for this answer but couldn't find it. What is the prefered size to use to post pictures in the forums? Is "insert image" used for adding a link to another site? If there's a how to located here on Astromart, just send me there please. Thanks

First, preferred size might be an 8"x6" 72 dpi, but the limit is 500,000 bytes.
The insert image is indeed to insert and image from another site.
To add an image from your computer use the browse button and select the desired image.

A decent quality jpg at about 800 dpi on the long side is the way I like to have images posted. It is not too large, and still good enough quality. It does not overfill the page, requiring me to scroll around to see all of it, and allowing me to see the whole composition at once. If you want to show a larger resolution, higher quality, then ADD a link, but by add, I mean put the smaller jpg on the screen for me, then add a link for my option if I want to see more.
