A friend recently purchased Oberwerk's 15X70 binoculars and is quite pleased with them. The are at the ragged edge for me as hand held binos. I feel that they are adequate for my use since they would be mostly for scanning and as a finder alternative. Since there is little opportunity for me to test other binos, can anyone recommend other 15X70 options that are comparably priced that are reasonably equal to Oberwerks?

Yesterday I finally received my Pentax 20x60 pcf wpII binoculars. I was a little hesitant wondering how heavy they would be since I bought them sight unseen based on pentax's reputation for their fine optics and all I can say is "WOW". I couldn't be more pleased. They have a diopter adjustment which is nice since I wear glasses and the images are superb. You can pull up their specs on the Pentax website if you're interested. Oberwerk makes some fine optics as well and Nikon was also on my list. Good luck!
