"Prototype" 15x70s

Marj and Roland Christen of AP brought two binoculars to NEAF. One was a 10.5x70 and the other was a 15x70, both made by a small company in China that makes military optics.

They are waterproof, have individual focus, quality prisms (nice round exit pupils), and excellent coatings. I played quite a bit with the 15x70s and they seemed very nice. (With their large exit pupil, the 10.5x70s held no interest for me.) If AP makes them available, I'll buy a pair.

I assume these are the binoculars he started a thread on in early Feb.

Did anyone get a chance to compare the AP binos with the
10.5x70 and 15x70 over at the APM Telescope booth at NEAF?
I was very impressed by the APM ones -- very close to
Fujinons in build quality; maybe even better coatings.
Wonder if they are sourced from same place as AP prototype?
From what I could tell AP and APM looked identical.
APM price point on the 15x70 converts to about $525.

I bought a pair of the 7x50 from the same series at the
APM booth -- superb in every way except very heavy.
These all seem to be from the same "family." Same
eyepieces on the 7x50 and 10.5x70, etc. Same on the
10x50 and 15x70.

The 7x50 I got from APM appear identical (except for
rubber covering color) to these now offered by William Optics:

though WO calls them "ED." Seem to be popping up all over.

The 10.5x70 and 15x70 binoculars are now available from AP, if y'all are still interested.
