Should I be able to see the edge of the prism when looking in the bottom of the binoviewer?

I believe the area gets noticeably darker in that area when viewing during the day.

Ron,

Are you talking about the new Celestron binoviewers?

Looking through the EP holders on a Burgess you can see the edges of the prism. They actually clip about 1 mm or more of the viewing circle.

The new Celestron and the Burgess are made in the same factory in China.
