The Tak FS-102 NSV (New Short Version) is suppose to allow straight through binoviewing without any optical corrector.

Has anyone tried using the standard Denkmeir binoviewer straight through with a Tele Vue 2" Everbrighr Diagonal and 30mm Orion Ultrascopic eyepieces and had success?

Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,

I am not sure how much inside focus travel the NSV gives you. I do know that using a 2" diagonal will eat up a bit if it.

Putting a 1 1/4" nose on your Denk and using a 1 1/4" diagonal will buy you some additional focus travel. Also if you have a powerswitch on your Denk you should remove it. The power switch eats up another 13mm of in-travel.

I would think that the NSV should focus without any problem. I know I can focus my Denks in my FS-128 using a Lumicon Lumibrite 1 1/4" diagonal, but it is a little close. If I forget and leave the powerswitch on some EP pairs will not come to focus.
