Hey Folks,

Last summer I purchased a Discovery 10 inch dob and believe it or not FINALLY had clear skies to view the gas giants! Egads! I waited forever for this to happen!!!
And it was the best views I've ever had, really cool. smile

I made a couple "eyepeice views" in photostudio close to how they looked, detail and size-wise. How does this compare to others views?

Take care!
Ron

Pretty darned good. Those should be shown to newbies who think they are going to see Hubble like views (not true) or worthless ones (also not true.)

Have fun!

I get somewhat similiar views in my Cr-150 hd,Jupiter will usually show more detail in my scope especially in the ez which in good seeing conditions is filled with blue festoons curling into the ez,best views of Jupiter were in the 160x-250x range,Saturn's B ring shows more dusty white markings on its inner half and cassini and the A ring are sharper at 250x-342x on nights of great seeing in my scope with a 7mm UO Ortho, and shorty-plus Barlow
