Evolution of the Astronomical Eyepiece

Here's a link to a site that has an extensive article- 60pages - detailing the evolution of the eyepiece. There's a little technical stuff for those who want it but it is fairly easy reading and there's a lot of general interest info as well.

Yeah, this is the best thing I have seen, though I'm dying for more, if any one has a reference to more data on the web about eyepiece theory.
