Fort Lewis Observatory

We made lots of progress on getting the clamshell dome up yesterday. Finally got power run the last 1/4 mile a couple of weeks ago, but it is still not hooked up. There is a 16" LX200 sitting in a box waiting for a finished home.

Darkness - typically 6.5+
Scope - Meade 16" LX200; f6.3 focal reducer
Focus - JMI Smart focus
Camera - SBIG ST-10XE; (~.5"/pixel)
Guiding - AO-8 and/or Meade 5"/DSI/PHD

The Duango Herald this morning reported that this would house a Meade 16" refractor telescope. They used the term refractor twice. Maybe this is some new Meade product that will fit in a dome this size. I don't know the f-ratio yet
