I've been working on a remote observatory in SW New Mexico for about 8 months. The site and the Astrohaven dome were purchased right here on Astromart. After almost getting the site fully prepped, we had a lighting-strike take out quite a bit of the electronics at the site. Even the well pump was fried!

Well, I've replaced all the bad electronics, re-configured the network, and put in a new Paramount ME II. Here is a video driving the mount and dome from the network in my RV at the site. Will be dropping the scope in shortly!

Here is a link to the observatory group:

Very nice and good luck with the project! PS I personally got lightning-struck 35 years ago... Ummm, I survived and became an astronomer. Tom

Here is a "First Light" complete color image from the new observatory of the Coma Cluster:

Planewave 20 CDK
64x180s L
8x180 RGB

Rob Gendler processed the images for me and used additional color data from Bob Franke. Me happy!

Here is the FB group for the Zowada Observatory. It has been built to freely give away:

For now, I'm testing and am creating user accounts for people with imaging experience to work the bugs out. PM me if you would like to use it.
