Dust cover for my mirror

I've been looking for something to use as a dust cover when my dob is in storage. I've been using the Kriege soft cloth method for a while but I'm not sold on the idea. My mirror must have had some condensation form which made some lint from the cloth stick to the mirror. Easily blown off, but I wanted a good cover.

I was talking to my son who is in grad school majoring in music while I was out shopping for something else. He's a percussionist and it got me thinking about using a drum head for the dust cover. There was a Guitar Center in the shopping center where I was and I bought a 15" head for my 14.5" mirror. Took it home and it fit perfectly riding 3/8" above the mirror on the posts and mirror clips on the mirror cell. Here are some pics. Now I just have to make a center knob to make it easy to install and remove. Total cost: $13 bucks

Nice Find.

I have a 15" mirror and have been looking for a cover forever. Any idea what the actual internal diameter is? I notice they come in 1" increments and am wondering whether a 15" or a 16" would be appropriate.

Thanks,
