Since you haven't had any replies...

I have heard the name, and his mirrors were said to be very good. I didn't post this before because I hoped someone could post personal experience with his optics.

I met him once at RTMC. He made the optics for a 24 inch Newtonian that was there every year. The optics were very good. He told me he gets burned out on mirror making and lays off for a while. I think it is just a pastime for him, but what I saw of that 24 inch, if I had a chance to snag any optics that he built, I would certainly do it.
