Took my Meade 8" F/6 Starfinder off of the limited Meade 1" shaft mount and mated it to a CPC 1100 mount that has Sky Align/GPS GOTO. BIG difference in nighttime observing A CPC1100 mount came up for sale and this old TM couldn't resist the challenge. Will paint and detail the OTA, pier and tripod later this summer.

The CPC1100 mount was not modified. Cradle assembly only requires three panels and some internal bracing. The OTA needed an additional 4 lbs of counterweights for balance. The whole setup works like a charm.

I thought I would share this here(as well as the other site) since I believe there quite a few of these mounts out there and owners of older Newtonians can upgrade to full GOTO with a minimum investment.
