FIRST LIGHT dobsonian 17.5"

Starting with a mirror someone was selling as scrap (advertised as $10 per pound pyrex), I managed with a little masking to build a fairly decent (and very cheap) dobsonian. Lots of little scratches / blotches on both the primary and secondary, but serviceable. In fact, I'm not sure I could tell the difference if both mirrors had been perfect.

First light was eyes wide open 8O

Looks like a rugged and very functional scope. Good luck under the stars with it.
