Anybody know where I can get a tube for a 12.5" F/4.5 mirror, preferably aluminum? Not interested in sonotube, and I've tried both Protostar and Hastings, but their max size is for 10" mirrors.

Hi Tony:

Frank at Public Missiles can make you a beautiful 14" OD tube from carbon fiber cloth, but it is going to be expensive. I priced one out for my 12.5" f5 and it was going to be about $1500.00 shipped, so I balked. It would have been beautiful though!

Joe at Parallax Instruments could roll you a tube with machined aluminum end pieces. They make large Newts. I'm not sure what the cost would be. Based upon their web page, I think it would be a fine tube.
