I want to put a Secondary dew heater on my EQ newt, I have a 2.28" minor axis on a stalk type (not shell type) I really do not want to take the mirror off,.
Does anyone know of someone who sells something like this?
I don't know if Astrosystems or Kendrick does?

Hi Marty,

I was looking for a secondary heater to put on my 10" SkyWatcher Dob with a stalk type secondary holder also. I contacted Kendrick and Jim replied that shortly they will be introducing a new style heater element for this type of holder. It will be of an eliptical shape with a hole in the centre and split at one end so that it can be slipped around the stalk type holder without having to remove the secondary mirror. In the meantime I constructed a heater element like Andy mentioned using the basic concepts as the telrad heater in the link I've provided. I also constructed one for my telrad and they both work great.

Good luck,
