Now I know how you were able to identify Fullum's test report, without being told where it came from.

Few days later, finished and ready to ship. Here's the crate. Tom

Here is the Surrogate, in the crate. Sanding, staining and sealing it was a chore... but it came out well. Keep in mind that there will be barbell weights inside to bring it up to ~130 lb and get the c.g. where it ought to be, near center xyz. And a plate glass mirror face sheet, to make it LOOK like a mirror! And a central 1/20 wave optical flat (4-inch) to allow ~alignment~ and stability simulations. Anyway, the entire intent of this is to NOT unnecessarily risk the Real Primary Mirror during the build and shakedown of the telescope, and for display. There's a size, and cost... where logistics pretty much rule. So far... so good! When we go operational, this will become a coffee table, in the house. Ummm... I haven't told my wife yet. Tom

Ready to ship. UPS door-to-door is quite reasonable. Tom
