Hello Fellow AMarters
Just a note to make you aware of a scam that I happened to get caught up in.
I recently posted a wanted ad for a used mount.
I was contacted by email from a person wanting to know if I wanted
to buy his mount.
We made a deal of 2500 down and balance upon receiving it.
He sent me his amart feedback account and it looked great.
When he didn't send the mount I went into Amart to recheck and he wasn't there.
I don't know how he got my email nor how he got into a feed back account so be warned!!!!
His name Lasse Lindh
Country Stockholm Sweden

This scam was totally my fault and I have nobody to blame but myself.
Sincerely, bob black

Sorry to hear this!

"He sent me his amart feedback account ...".

Normally we don't get or send feedback ratings, we just look them up ourselves. Did you look up his account before the transaction? Did you get one of those Astromart email reply messages? Or was it direct from him only?

Robert, how did you send payment? You may have some recourse.

Copy and paste this in Google search. Lasse Lindh

Something strange going on because I wasn't able to find a end user by that name using the User Profiles option but you'll see three adds when you type the above.

Then, when I typed in the phrase I mentioned above and click on his name, I get this link;

There have been a few cases where long-delayed item is not scam, but instead is waiting in customs for processing or payment of import duty by buyer. Sometimes a month or more. Someone by the same name seems to have had good astromart transactions and postings to astro discussion boards up to 2010. I suppose a good person could turn scammer, or have their account hijacked by hacker. Good luck.

Just to let all members that read this that I was in contact with LASSE LINDH
and he has satisfied me that he is not the perpetrator.
Someone, somehow has hijacked his identity.
Thanks to everyone for their concern and apologies to Lasse bob
