Any thoughts on how to deal with an annoying street light that is positioned in my south view about 40' from me. It is about 15' tall.
Thanks,
Roland

Have you called the city or power company? If you explain the nuisance, they will often shield the light or paint the glass that faces your lot. Not a perfect solution, but better than none.

Maybe you could make a light shield at the end of a long pole that you could hang over the light.

If you can aim a red laser pointer into the window on the light sensor on top of the light (typically on the north side of the fixture), it will turn the light off. You have to mount your laser on a tripod and keep it on for the duration of your observing session, but I've done it and it works!
