Good viewing areas around Bakersfield, CA

Hey all,

I am going to a meeting in Bakersfield, CA and was wondering if there are any close viewing areas. I was thinking about a park or something, or maybe JUST outside the city. ( something out of the way, off the highway, etc..)

thanks,
-Ben

Ben,
Well, we are pretty well under a large light dome here. There is a place just outside of town on the east hills. It is on Breckenridge Road, 6 miles east, off of Alfred Harrell Hiway-Comanche Drive.
I have put up a map site here.

Get in touch with me by private message and I can tell you more about it.
