Grabbing and going

Hi all,

Is it safe to keep a scope on a mount when driving to a viewing destination or should it always be dis-assembled and stored in case first. Is standing up a scope in back of minivan inviting disaster?

I would never do it. You slam on the brakes, the scope is history.
