Hi,

I am looking for a star guide, a book listing the sky object with some additional verbal description (scientific and other). Since I am a beginner, I am not looking for an extensive listing of tens of thousands of objects.
Are there any such guides that may be suitable for a teen to read?
Is there such a computerized database?

Thank you,

MR

Go Here:

http://www.seds.org/messier/

There's lots to read.

If you want a book, try Turn Left at Orion or Star Hopping for Backyard Astronomers.

After that, you are talking those collections of thousands.....You'll enjoy the two above more.
