I need to know the procedure and star names to set the mount up so it knows how far the scope is off. thanx Jim

Enter celestron in-between the ubiquitous www dot dot com & select Support from top of page menu, then select Manuals/Downloads from the selected fall-down menu.

Have you read the manual? If not, you need to do so. You can get the manual from Celestron's website.
