Nice shot Dave! At least we have this comet to enjoy for a while. Thanks, Paul

Great shot, Dave!
As Lovejoy moves northward, I may be able to see it from our bedroom.
Perhaps I should keep my 8x56 Ultimas under my pillow. wink
I just had one clear night, but another storm is moving in from the NW. Argh!

I happened to wake up a bit earlier today and, judging from the Bootes and Corona, I thought Lovejoy might be only 5-10 degrees above the horizon. I don't have much of an extinction problem here and the sky had not even begun to brighten yet, so I thought I might get a better view this time. Took me a minute to find it in my TV Ranger and it was very near the corner of the roof. I couldn't see any tail at all, so I got back in bed and waited 20 minutes for it to clear the roof. When I looked again, I was amused to find that what I had seen before was M13! shocked Hercules was rising and Lovejoy was more to the south than I could see before. Pretty funny. grin So, I did get a nice look... the tail seemed a bit brighter and longer than before. I'd sure like to get a look in one of my Starmaster dobs, but it's been around 0 degrees lately with snow drifts on the patios and I just don't have it in me anymore.
