LAST READ POINTERS - GRRRRRRROWLLLLL

Really getting under my skin that the last read pointers DO NOT WORK. They were problematic with the previous software as well but differently. I believe this is worse.

Lets say there has been 10 posts in a given forum since my last visit. When I open that forum it takes me to the most recent post....Then its up to me to figure out where the new messages actually began......Make AM better....fix it lol

Greg, I agree with you totally on this matter; particularly in regard to some of the large number of posts that occur on the Potics Forum.

Hi Greg, Christmas comes early this year. smile

Sorry for waiting so long for this task but we had bigger fishes to fry and more burning tasks related to the core of this application.

Anyhow, this task is finally complete, here is quick explanation on the operation and what you can expect and not expect.

- User need to be logged in order for us to track his activity on forums
- When user clicks to view the thread it will send him to his last read point for that thread. Which means it will record the current date/time when you clicked to view the thread.
- Last read point is recorded on each page load for given thread, either entering the thread or clicking to pagination links. Basically, as you move through pages it will update the last visited time.

Note: We do not track going to the past and reading old threads and then coming back and expecting to continue from that particular post. It's simply not practical to implement that level of tracking due to many factors. So, tracking will work only from visit to visit, for some new posts that are posted after your last visit.

In case that you haven't visited some thread it will start from last post. (We can modify this behavior and start from first post, but we figured to show fresh posts first and then user can go back and read)

Please report any issues or problems.
