After reading several articals about the ISS and working with the Russians on this endevor of construction of the ISS, We are now in a pickle. With all the bad things happening with Russia and Georga and Polain, you can't mix politics and science together. And soon we will be at the mercy and blackmail of getting our Astronaut in space for the next 5 or more years. There goes down another 100 Billion dollars down the drain. I know this might be placed in the political forum, But Space programs are intertwin with politics. Our only hope is that private business take over, and leave the sabre rattling at home. It took 40 years for from the Wright Brothers to private trainsportation, such as Airlines too ruely get off the ground. What should we do next, too avoid the pitfalls ?

We are only relying on Russia because we failed to build and maintain our own big dumb rockets for transport. This crisis needs to blow over. Ultimately, Russia isn't doing anything that we wouldn't do in our own sphere of influence.

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.
