A lot of people don't know that you can go birding at Walmart while your spouse shops for groceries. These pictures were taken at a drainage pond between Walmart and defunct sporting goods store in Tallahassee.

This first bird is some kind of diving duck like critter. It looks like a duck, but seems to have a pointed bill.

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

This second bird is one of those black birds with red wings. He didn't let the dog and I get very close. But, I always think these birds look cool.

Lee,

When I stumbled upon your post, I figured you meant birds inside Walmart. My Walmart always seems to have a few birds flying around up in the high exposed truss ceiling and occasionally they'll come down and buzz the customers. Most of them seem to be finches or similar sized birds. I'd try to get a picture but I don't think my iPhone will zoom far enough.
