Carolina Wren

Of all the birds that visit my yard this one is the best to observe. They are very active and love poking into every nook and cranny. One pair will take over the entire yard every year and nest in a small hanging basket hanging under the eaves surrounding my patio. They both sleep together in this basket during the winter.

Good catch! Aren't they great birds? I once watched one check out our hanging laundry, inspecting every pocket of the hanging jeans by climbing in. Seeing it peeking out of the pockets was too much.
Here's one I caught in a Florida swamp. Because they are so active, they are difficult to photograph.
