Red-shouldered Hawk enjoying a lizard

I see this bird quite often. This is the second time I have seen it feeding. Fortunately, this time I had my camera. I have also witnessed it mating ( shocked ) a few weeks back, though I cannot locate a nest.

Nice shot! We have a couple of nesting pairs close by where I'm temporarily living. I haven't seen them feeding yet however a few weeks ago both pair were competing to nest in the same tree. Not sure how it turned out.

Fun birds to watch, very colorful and noisy too!
