Here is a photo I snapped of a small woodpecker behind our apartment. He was a very busy little bird and didn't want to stop for a picture.

I think he is either a Downy Woodpecker (http://georgiainfo.galileo.usg.edu/wildlife/downywoodpecker.htm) or a Hairy Woodpecker (http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Hairy_Woodpecker/id).
