It astounds me that we would consider such an approach. It is similar to proposing hydrogen cars without abundant nuclear energy. Perhaps they thing that lime is free and obtainable without expending any energy and adding to the co2 loading. Not to mention the magnitude of a comprehensive project.

Our politicians allowed alarmists to curtail nuclear plants (some in mid-construction). These things demonstrate how we as a society are crisis management oriented instead of forward thinking. We should keep in mind how some micro cultures cause their own demise by eating themselves out of house and home. Hang on for the ride.
