My god the BS runs deep. Always by 2100. It's the magic year in most of these BS "studies". Wait what? The penguin population will grow for 75 years, then they'll head towards extinction, so protect them now against declining sea ice which is growing now? These people sound like insane snake oil salesmen.
Declining sea ice caused by climate change would place all 45 known emperor penguin colonies into decline by 2100, according to the population simulation.
Antarctic sea ice is at an all-time high right now. They want to put a species on the endangered list based on a computer simulation of one possible future scenario that is out of sync at it's simulation start up conditions.
Declining funding would put all 45 known penguin scientists into decline by 2015, according to my population simulation.
