"The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment." 

Article 1, Section 2, Paragraph 4.

"The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law."

Article 1, Section 3, Paragraph 

since you have mentioned the Chief Justice aspect of Article 1, Section 3 before, I know you are familiar with it.  Why are you trying to change the definition of impeachment?  It makes no sense.  

Trump was impeached twice.  Clinton was impeached once.  Neither was ever convicted or removed.  Any other interpretation or spin is not a matter of semantics.  It is simply incorrect.

I disagree....the house simply determines if impeachment proceedings should be implemented. Given it is a two stage process it is not complete until the senate finds them guilty. Saying someone was impeached implies there were consequences, there were none as the senate trial resulted in an acquittal both times for Trump and also 1 time for Clinton. Thus there was no impeachment. You guys are of course entitled to your own opinions same as me smile
